I study how the systems that organize knowledge decide which knowledges can be named.
I work on knowledge organization and representation: thesauri, documentary languages, repositories and digital collections. My focus is on Brazilian favelas and urban communities, and on how epistemic injustice shows up in the way their knowledges are described, preserved and found.

Saberes Populares
Safekeeping and preservation of works produced in the favelas and peripheries of Rio de Janeiro. I have followed its DSpace implementation from the start: categories, description, content curation and user training.
wikiFAVELAS
Technical lead for organizing and systematizing the platform's information, with semantic modeling of collaboratively produced content. It was also the subject of my undergraduate thesis.
